Introducing the Neveah Dance Circus!
The Nevaeh Dance Circus is a creative group of performing artist based in Maine and known for their original and imaginative shows combining a blend of dance, circus, song, theatre and handmade life-size puppets.
What is so unique and special about the Nevaeh Dance Circus is it's inclusive nature and spectrum of performers from local amateur youth looking for a creative outlet to professional artists who have been featured on stages such as America's Got Talent. Founded and operated by sisters Nettie and Hannah Gentempo, this colorful company is dedicated to bringing joy, entertainment and creative community together!
At the Opera House, Hula Hoop Artist Nettie Loops, will lead an afternoon Hoop Dance Workshop 3:30 – 4:30 followed by a full Nevaeh Dance Circus production featuring a combination of contemporary dance, circus arts, storytelling and interactive fun starting at 6:30pm.
A bit more about the Hula Hoop workshop:
Designed for ages 7 and up, get ready to spin, twirl, and dance with hula hoops! Join Hula Hoop Artist Nettie Gentempo as she leads us through the fundamentals of circus-style hooping. In this 60-minute workshop, we'll cover both beginner and intermediate-friendly hula hoop tricks, combinations, and choreography, with the opportunity to perform later in that evening's show. No prior experience required. Come have some fun and learn something new!
