Rockport Opera House is delighted to host Tom as part of their Winter Tour. Maine-based singer-songwriter Tom DiMenna brings the Winter Edition of Story Songs with a group of accompanists, the show celebrates the beloved classics of Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin, and more. Rooted in Maine’s maritime spirit, the performance blends warmth and humor, rich 70s guitar tone, a soothing vocal presence, and plenty of toe-tappers to keep the energy up.

For the Winter edition, we’ve curated a setlist of reflective seasonal songs balanced with upbeat favorites—fit for bringing people together during the colder months.

Accompanied by a skilled ensemble, Tom recreates the magic of these unforgettable tracks, making them resonate as deeply today as they did decades ago. But there’s more to Tom than his musical prowess. A fascinating journey led him to this stage. “I’ve been playing since college,” Tom shares, “where I was a lowly hand signaler on the football team. Then I played a year of semi-pro football for the Bologna Warriors in Italy. The experience of quarterbacking an Italian football team was pretty funny. I spent the next decade working on a movie about it.”
